This blog (online journal) is an experiment. It's for the widely-spread family and friends of Bob and Hilary Rotheram. The main aim is to enable us to keep in better touch with each other. Some of us are already good at maintaining contact, e.g. via letters, phone, email, and videoconference, but a blog offers another channel of communication.

Once you've joined, you'll be able to see what others have posted, and you may be able to add your own comments, articles, photos and files. It won't suit us all, but maybe enough will join in for it to be interesting and fun.

Sorry, world, but the online family journal is private. You'll need permission to access it. Ask me if you want to get in. I'll probably only agree if you are a relative or a particularly close friend.

I may later create a more public area of the blog.
