The 17th Century publication, History of the book in Devon, says, "Judge Rotheram is gon (sic) on the Oxford circuit" (in July 1688).

Is this, perhaps, the lawyer who, three years earlier had been counsel for the defence in a case alleging publication of a seditious book? (See separate article, 'Mr Rotheram appears before Judge Jeffreys'.)
